These albums are mainly scans of old prints and slides, with some newer pictures of old souvenirs.
A random selection of old family photos scanned from pre-digital prints. This collection was the outcome of some reminiscences on Facebook, firstly about Mothers’ Day, and then about childhood.
Shortly after we moved to Hemel, Kent Brushes in Apsley decided that they no longer needed their factory chimney. This sequence of pictures was taken using a manual film wind-on.
This story appeared in a girls’ comic called ‘Patches’. I had just completed the Harrow Half-Marathon as part of the First National team, and as we were passing a newsagent’s, we were asked if we could spare a few minutes for some photos. The principal girl in the story also worked for First National, in the Cash Office.
